From residential to data centers, the company strengthens its reach with R32 products and high-profile industry exhibitions
The North American HVAC market is largely driven by replacement demand, and recent years have seen accelerated product turnover due to stricter environmental regulations. In the fiscal year ending March 2025, the phaseout of R410A units and the expansion of new R32-based products significantly reshaped the market.
Daikin has capitalized on this shift by strengthening its lineup of environmentally friendly and energy-efficient products. In the residential segment, the premium “Fit” model gained strong traction, while in the commercial sector the “VRV” series continued to perform well. Moreover, by expanding solutions for data centers, Daikin has further solidified its presence across the region.
In February 2025, Daikin Applied Americas participated in “The 2025 AHR Expo” held in Florida, one of the world’s largest exhibitions for air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration. The company showcased low-GWP refrigerant products, heat pumps, and other sustainability-driven solutions. This event provided a platform to communicate its strategy directly to the industry, enhancing Daikin’s reputation as a leader in environmental innovation.
Looking ahead to the fiscal year ending March 2026, Daikin plans to accelerate the adoption of R32 products across both residential and commercial segments while also expanding its presence in large-scale facilities such as data centers. These initiatives are expected to further reinforce the company’s position in the North American HVAC market.
